I never have thought of how important the thumb is until its useless. It really hurts today, the strongest non-prescription is not doing it. My whole left hand feels useless.

The dressing that was put yesterday was pretty nasty when I woke up, so I somehow put on a new one with one hand. It’s not as pretty.

I just saw the pictures and it made me cringe. I cut part of the tip off my thumb while I was drunk and cooking risotto. Hurt like a bitch and took forever to heal. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long to heal.

Try Advil. For me it works much better than Tylenol . Prescription dose is 800 mg every 8 hours.

oof, I kinda understand. A few years ago I was working on a car seat and my hand slipped the socket wrench and hit a cut piece of metal.

it was honestly not very painful... just felt like the stinging sensation you get when you scrape a bit of skin off. Similar to your thumb, had to get the skin stitched back and it healed up pretty well. I do have a sweet scar on my pinky though.

It’s gonna suck though, since yours is the thumb and it’ll take a few weeks to get well but hopefully the pain will go away soon
